Jewelry Modeling and Prototyping
The Higher Professional Technical Course in Modeling and Prototyping in Jewellery, in partnership with CINDOR (Gondomar), aims to provide students with the theoretical and technological tools necessary for them to face the labour market in a professional context, in the area of ??development and production of jewellery pieces in the context of industrial production.
In this way, the course will give students a multidisciplinary profile and the ability to adapt to the work environment of development and optimization of the production of jewellery, accessories, and adornments. At the same time, it will allow them to deepen their knowledge and reach of new trends and production techniques, training future professionals capable of working individually or as part of teams.
Students will be endowed with skills that aim, among others, to develop a technical and commercial language needed to communicate with agents in the area; conceive and interpret drawings and other technical information; identify and characterize the materials; manage equipment, machines, instruments and tools related to the modeling and prototyping process.

The following may apply for higher professional technical courses: Those who have completed a secondary education course or a legally equivalent qualification; Applicants who have passed the particularly suitable tests designed to assess the ability of those over 23 years old to attend higher education, carried out for the course in question, under the terms of Decree-Law No. 64/2006, of 21st March; Holders of a technological specialization diploma, a higher professional technician diploma or a higher education degree, who seek professional requalification.

At the Polytechnic of Porto, from the 2017/2018 school year, the application for degrees through the Special Contests by holders of DET and CTeSP is subject to proof of completion of the national secondary education exams corresponding to the entrance exams required for admission in the study cycle in question, through the general regime of access and admission, and obtaining in these exams a classification not inferior to the fixed minimum classification.
Holders of a higher professional technician diploma, issued by P.PORTO, which allows entry into the P.PORTO licentiate study cycle, are exempt from taking the national secondary education exams for candidatures through Special Competitions. apply, with partial crediting of the training carried out.
