No dia 2 de dezembro de 2020, pelas 20h30, a Saco Azul Associação Cultural promove, no Maus Hábitos Espaço de Intervenção Cultural, a segunda sessão dedicada aos filmes produzidos no âmbito do curso "Death & Documentary". Nesta sessão serão exibidos os filmes produzidos pelos estudantes de Austin, Texas (EUA).
Na vida há apenas uma certeza: vamos todos morrer. A morte é inevitável tanto quanto é parte da vida. Memórias individuais e de família, arquivos, o processo de luto… são alguns dos temas escolhidos pelos estudantes da Universidade do Texas em Austin para retratar este conceito tão universal e simultaneamente íntimo e pessoal.
O curso “Death & Documentary”, uma parceria com a Escola Superior de Media Artes e Design e a The University of Texas at Austin, surge com o propósito de olhar a morte a partir de uma série de abordagens alternativas e de como estas podem ser representadas no filme documentário, a partir de um amplo leque de interpretações. O foco centra-se na morte no sentido amplo, como uma ideia transformadora, fonte de poder espiritual e estético, assunto de fascínio narrativo e matéria-prima para a criação documental.
