The study programme in Photography aims to provide qualified professionals with the skills and critical capacity to work in Photography in its various technical and artistic applications. To this end, it has a practical component that enables the acquisition of technical skills and encourages experimentation and authorial development. The theoretical component aims to develop discursive and critical skills, as well as a historical and political awareness that encourages innovative and challenging practice. In view of the rapid technological transformations in the field of image and, consequently, in the paradigms of photography, the course has a wide range of curricular units that enable transdisciplinarity between photography and other media, essential for the development of an experimental practice, supported by scientific knowledge and the essential technical support, as well as quality infrastructures and equipment.
