INTRODUCTION: MAD SUMMER SCHOOL is an intense learning experience and aims to be showcase of the educational offer of ESMAD: FILM & PHOTOGRAPHY, DESIGN, MEDIA DIGITAL AND WEB DEVELOPMENT.
Anchored in the territory where it is located, the SUMMER SCHOOL provides an experience and connection with the culture of the region, taking a global / international connection, without losing sight of the richness of its territory.
The 5 day Academy is punctuated by various and exciting activities (Masterclasses, Workshops, conferences, film screenings, evenings, surf, concerts & parties).
Vila do Conde & Póvoa de Varzim will be a space and a moment of transmission, sharing and permanent exchanges in a framework favorable towards creativity. The seminars are offered in different formats and lengths according to the subject at hand, and to better adapt to a successful outcome. The participant tutors were selected for their extensive knowledge and experience in their fields, and a proven track record in delivering engaging lectures.
AIMS: From the summer 2018, the MAD SUMMER SCHOOL launches a series of workshops and masterclasses around key aspects of contemporary media Arts practice, aimed at developing and strengthening key skills, taught in participatory environments with clear and focused aims. The Summer School looks at MEDIA ARTS practices as a sustainable & critical endeavor.
