Information Systems and Computer Administration

The Information Systems and Computer Administration Unit ensures the proper functioning of the existing IT infrastructure, having the following functions and responsibilities:

─ Supporting projects that aim to develop existing information systems, regardless of their scope;
─ Ensuring the operation, maintenance and normal functioning of the available IT equipment, in compliance with the applicable quality standards;
─ Ensuring the proper functioning of the existing IT infrastructure, namely that used by students, teaching and non-teaching staff, as they have at their disposal laboratories and other IT resources;
─ Diagnosing training needs (which is the responsibility of  the head of the service), though each employee may self-propose to attend such training sessions or others;
─ Providing access to information systems such as the internet or e-mail, through the wireless network that covers all the building blocks in the campus.
